A viral video has appeared on social media with a male individual asserting that it was never his intention to hurt Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet.
The man made the comments in a conversation with another male.
His remarks came against the backdrop of a police probe this week into another viral video.
In that video, a man at a karaoke session sings explicit threats against Prime Minister Chastanet at a bar in the North of the Island.
“I make a song to enjoy my life ,”the individual in the latest video says.
” I never wanted to hurt no prime minister,” the man declares.
He was apparently the one who made the threats at the karaoke session.
However he explains that he does not want to be in trouble with the law.
But he expresses the view that the most the police can do is take him in for questioning.
Earlier this week the owner of the bar where the threats were made issued a statement regarding the ‘karaoke’ incident.
According to the statement, at the time of the video recording the DJ was away from his equipment.
As a result, the DJ was unable to stop the music at once, the statement observed.
“The proprietor of the establishment at which the karaoke session was held, wishes to advise that they do not condone this type of behavior or any other form of antisocial behavior,” the release stated.
It also said that the individual in the video was moments later cautioned by the proprietor.
And the statement said he was asked to desist from such conduct now and in future, and told that he will not be allowed to participate at karaoke sessions if he persists.
