‘Jelly Boy’ Granted Bail On Gun, Ammunition Charges

Jaleel Hunte, alias ‘Jelly Boy’ has received bail on charges of possessing an illegal gun and ammunition.

A court on Monday imposed $12,000 bail for the illegal firearm charge, according to law enforcement officials.

And the court set bail at $10,000 for the charge of possessing ammunition.

The bail conditions require that ‘Jelly Boy’ report to the Central Police Station on Sundays and Wednesdays before 7.00 pm, police say.

Officers charged him on Saturday.

They say they chased after a male suspect in Castries about 3.00 pm on Friday.

The officers reported that they apprehended him and found that he had a black .380 Ruger pistol.

The police also recovered a magazine with six .380 rounds of ammunition.

Jaleel Hunte, aka ‘Jelly Boy’ is twenty-five years old.
