Joe Biden has been filmed tripping three times in a row while walking up the stairs of Air Force One.

The 78 year-old President of the United States repeatedly lost his footing and stumbled as he boarded the jet from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Friday, bound for Atlanta in Georgia.

Biden did not appear to injure himself, and managed to regain his composure to walk up the remainder of the staircase without any apparent injury.

He gave a salute to waiting servicemen after making it to the top of the red-carpeted staircase.

LA Times reporter Chris Megerian tweeted: ‘Joe Biden trips while walking up the stairs of Air Force One’, alongside a picture of Biden after he stumbled.

Biden is the oldest president ever to be elected President of the United States, and was repeatedly attacked by his precedessor Donald Trump, 74, as being too old for the role.

Trump branded Biden ‘Sleepy Joe’ and accused him of ‘hiding’ in his basement during last year’s campaign.

Team Biden vehemently refuted those claims, and said their candidate was trying to stay safe during Covid.

But Friday’s incident is set to further fuel speculation about Biden’s health and fitness for office. He has also been criticized for failing to hold a press conference since his inauguration on January 20, and will finally take questions from journalists next Thursday.

President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are both visiting the city in the wake of shootings at three spas in the city on Wednesday evening that killed eight people.

The visit was originally planned to meet with leaders at the headquarters of the US Centers for Disease Control, which is leading public health efforts against the Covid crisis.

Biden and Harris now also plan to meet with Asian-American community leaders to discuss Tuesday’s mass-murder, which killed six Asian women.

Alleged murderer Robert Long, 21, is said to have told police that he was battling sex addiction, and that he carried out the shootings to ‘eliminate temptation.’

He is said to have visited two of the massage parlors previously, with Atlanta Police and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office saying that Long has confessed to the killings.

He has been charged with eight counts of murder.
