The Saint Lucia Fire Service says when it responded to a report of a shooting Monday night at La Clery, Castries, a wounded youth refused ‘further’ medical attention.
This after emergency officials treated him at the scene.
According to fire service spokesman, Damian Jn Baptiste, emergency responders received a call about 9.30 pm.
“The caller indicated that one individual had sustained a gunshot wound at La Clery, Castries,” Jn Baptiste stated.
He said the responding officers assessed a 21 year old who sustained a wound to the right leg and was in a stable condition.
“However he refused further medical attention and transportation and subsequently signed a release form,” the fire service spokesman explained.
