Leon Hess Comprehensive & Choiseul Secondary Schools Win Under 15 Cricket Matches

Press Release:- Two more matches were completed as the 2019 Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Secondary Schools’ Under 15, 40 Over Cricket Tournament approaches the quarter final knockout stage.

Victories were registered for Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary over Babonneau Secondary and Choiseul Secondary over Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary.

At the Gros Islet Playing Field on Thursday 30th May 2019, Leon Hess Comprehensive defeated Babonneau Secondary comfortably by 8 wickets. Babonneau Secondary batting first was dismissed for 58 in 12 overs with Jordon Faucher making 19, Jaden Florent 12 and Daniel Kennedy 10.

National Under 15 player Sanjay Francis was Leon Hess Comprehensive ‘s most impressive bowler with 5 for 17 in 4 overs.

He was well supported by another National player Khan Elcock with 2 for 5 in 2.2 overs and Windward Islands Under 15 player captain Shawnil Edward 2 for 14 in 3 overs. Setting a victory target of 59, Leon Hess Comprehensive led by Khan Elcock with 31 not out made light work of their target, finishing on 59 for 2 in 8 overs. The wicket takers for Babonneau Secondary were, Tyler St Omer and Daniel Kennedy with 1 wicket each.

Result: Leon Hess Comprehensive defeated Babonneau Secondary by 8 wickets.

Over on the Piaye Playing Field, Choiseul Secondary defeated Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary by 9 wickets.

Vieux Fort Comprehensive batting first in a game reduced to 25 overs a side made 109 for 6 in their allotted overs with David Naitram top scoring with a fine knock of 69 not out and Donally Leonce 12.
 Bowling for Choiseul Secondary, Ned Eugene 4 for 28 in 5 overs and Jude Joseph 2 for 5 in 5 overs. Chasing 110 for victory, Choiseul Secondary comfortably got to their target finishing on 111 for 1 in 13.2 overs with Jamie St Amie top scoring with a well played 52 not out and Jordon Emmanuel 15. Zenadine Charles was the lone wicket taker for Vieux Fort Comprehensive.
Result: Choiseul Secondary defeated Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary by 9 wickets.
