Leslie Land Youth Formally Charged For Cutlass In Trousers

A Leslie Land youth was formally charged Sunday for having a cutlass concealed in his trousers.

According to a law enforcement official, 23 year old Raheem Louis was held in Constitution Park, Castries about 1:30 pm on Sunday by a City Police Officer who was on foot patrol.

The Leslie Land youth was subjected to a search during which the cutlass was discovered, it was reported.

Louis was bailed in the sum of $500 and is due to appear in court on November 30, 2018, St Lucia Times was informed.

  1. When found guilty should be given the maximum jail time for such an offence. Law enforcement has to dend a strong and unambiguous message that the days of breaking the law with immunity are over. No more skylarking.
