Emergency personnel rushed a male individual to the OKEU Hospital Tuesday night, after the vehicle he was driving ran off the road at Choc and hit a utility pole.
According to the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS), it received a call in relation to the accident about 10.19 pm.
An SLFS official said emergency responders had to extricate the accident victim from the twisted metal of the white Mitsubishi Lancer.
The official said the patient, who was the only occupant of the car at the time, was unconscious.

The vehicle was heading towards Castries when the accident occurred on the Choc Hill, the official disclosed.
