Emergency personnel responding to a report of a shooting at Ciceron, Castries, on Sunday, transported a wounded male to the Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEUH).
According to Saint Lucia Fire Service spokeswoman, Stacy Joseph, an emergency call in relation to a shooting incident came in to the Castries Fire Station on Sunday November 15, at approximately 12:20 p.m.
“The responding officers found one male appearing to be in his forties on the floor complaining of pain to his shoulder,” Joseph said.
She disclosed that an assessment revealed that the patient sustained a penetrating wound, which was cleaned and bandaged.
The fire service spokeswoman said the injured male was escorted to the ambulance and transported, in a stable condition, to the OKEU hospital.
