A male individual is dead following a road accident at La Caye, Dennery, the Saint Lucia Fire Service says.
Fire Service spokeswoman, Stacy Joseph, says the Dennery Fire Station received a call on Sunday about 8.40 pm regarding an incident involving two motorcycles and a motor vehicle at La Caye, Dennery.
According to Joseph, the responding officers found one vehicle across the road with two damaged motorcycles to the rear of the vehicle.
She disclosed that three persons were found on the scene, one of whom was lying on his back on the road.
“A quick examination revealed that the individual was pulseless and breathless,” Joseph explained.
She told reporters that CPR was initiated and the victim was taken by ambulance to the Dennery Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Joseph told reporters that the other persons were assessed on the scene and declined transportation to a medical facility.
