Man of unknown identity in Police custody

A man of unknown identity is currently in the custody of Choiseul Police, who are requesting public assistance in identifying him

According to information obtained by the Times, the man was taken into custody at about noon today.

It followed a report by a woman who said she saw the individual in her yard, just staring into space.

It is reported that when the woman went outside to confront the intruder the man advanced towards her, whereupon she ran into the house, armed herself with a cutlass and went towards him.

The intruder ran away, according to information.

The home owner subsequently made a report to the police who picked up the man shortly afterwards.

It appears that he is mentally challenged and cannot speak.

Police have said that anyone with information about the identity of the man in custody should contact the Choiseul Police Station at 456-3635.
