Martinique Records 60 New COVID-19 Cases In One Week

Health authorities in neighbouring Martinique have urged renewed vigilance on the part of the population after a new spike in COVID-19 cases.

Local reports indicate that the Island recorded 60 new cases of the virus in the space of one week.

They include 40 new cases during the period August 3 to 7.

The most affected age group is between 15 and 44 years.

Health officials have made a special appeal to young people to exercise caution, citing a net increase in the transmission of COVID-19 especially among  people between the ages of 20 and 44 years.
