Members of a Texas family suffering from COVID-19 are safe after their home caught fire, and they weren’t able to smell the smoke, local reports say.

They had lost their sense of smell due to the virus.

But a 17-year-old girl was able to smell the smoke, alert her three relatives and get them to safety.

Reports say the teenager did not have COVID-19.
