MHMC Experiencing Telephone Call Issues

The public is advised that Millennium Heights Medical Complex (Owen King EU Hospital, National Mental Wellness Centre and Turning Point) is currently experiencing disturbance in making and receiving external calls.

Internally, the staff and phone operators are making use of alternatives. However, anyone
outside the Complex wishing to reach an admitted patient, are advised to use their cellular
phones or to make use of the visiting hours below:

Owen King EU Hospital

Monday to Friday: 6am – 7am, 12pm – 1pm, 5pm – 7pm
Weekends & Holidays: 3pm – 5pm

National Mental Wellness Centre (NMWC)

Monday to Sunday: 3pm – 5pm

The Complex is working closely with FLOW to resolve the issue. The public will be notified when that is done.

MHMC understands that this creates further difficulty for friends and families of our patients.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.

  1. Huh? What’s new? I thought there has always been a communication block. Smh. These people at that institution never takes calls. When they do, they keep you on hold until the call cuts off or you decide to hang up. Where there is no vision, the people perish. MOH needs to put measures in place to make the staff want to work; I’m very aware of the lazy ones, however, I have come across some hardworking ones!!

  2. MHMC is also experiencing a brain drain of highly qualified nurses. In my opinion that is a more serious issue that need to be publicly communicated as well.
