Millennium Highway & West Coast Roads Project To Begin Next Week

Castries, Saint Lucia, January 17, 2018 – On Wednesday January 23, the Department of Infrastructure will officially sign the consultancy agreement/contract for designs and will launch the “Millennium Highway and West Coast Roads Upgrading Project”.

This signals IMMEDIATE commencement of the project…

The project will deliver:

1. Complete rehabilitation of the Millennium Highway. (NO MORE ROLLER COASTER RIDES).

2. Reconstruction of the West Coast roads from Cul De Sac all the way to Soufriere.

3. Design for construction of the new Anse La Raye Bridge.

4. A Robust Island wide Roads Safety Programme.

All this work will be done with Grant Funding from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) – United Kingdom Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund (UKCIF).

An injection of approximately $115 Million in the local economy.

Hey my super PM dont forget our water company WASCO has started the work of dregging the Dam did you know that all the road from the Dam to Vanard has to be fixed and all those areas were the roads have gone down the slopes have to be repaired urgently? The kind of heavy equipment that has to come down that road and cross the Venus bridge and squeeze round those narrow curves and corners All the land slides are still there and they have to be fixed properly That area looks like war zone right now
