  1. No real athlete’s performance is affected either negatively or positively by the presence of the Minister. These people are just going on joy rides and collecting their per diems while the athletes do the work.

  2. Congratulations Team ST Lucia🇱🇨, so now how can you all turn these victory’s around an contribute back to community’s for the lost, helpless youths on island Minister’s?

  3. LAB KEEP YOU ADVISED TO YOURSELF..DAY BAN HYPOCRITE WHERE WAS MINISTER OF SPORTS TO SEND JUILIEN ALFRED UNIFORM ON TIME..THEY WERE ALL BUSY WHINING BEHIND CANIVAL

  4. CONGRATS TO THE SLU COMMONWEALTH ATHLETES TEAM!!!
    JOB WELL DONE!!
I am very proud of all of them … medalists and all other participants.
The Min of Youth and Sport seem to be “on the ball” with sports in St Lucia – I sincerely hope this trend continues, and continues to be one of our priorities.

A message to some “naysayers”, and “Armchair Experts” … I have had the privilege to represent St Lucia at a few regional events, and other island country government ministers and/or ministry P.S.’s usually ESCORT their representatives to these events. IT IS THE NORM FOR THEM, notably Barbados, Guyana and Antigua. I do not wish to SEE comments chastising ministers, etc., for accompanying athletes to their meets, while representing their country. STOP IT! It is easier and better to show patronage.

And further, Participants who are attending any meet/event usually have their morale, self confidence, etc., boosted just by knowing that their government is standing behind them.
