Officials of the Ministry of Infrastructure have visited the South of the Island to assess damage caused by recent heavy rainfall.
Prime Minister Allen Chastanet wrote Wednesday on his official Facebook page that the government awaits the final full report so that it can commence addressing the infrastructure needs of the affected communities
He recalled that on Sunday, a few communities in the south especially in the constituency of Choiseul-Saltibus were affected by an unusual amount of rainfall.
According to Chastanet, the high level of rain caused several communities within the constituency to suffer from flooding and landslides.
He disclosed that on Tuesday, Bradly Felix who is the Parliamentary Representative for the constituency, took himĀ around to see the impact of the heavy rainfall and how it has affected the residents of the impacted communities.
