The allegations against a school Principal that have been reported in the media as involving sexual misconduct with female students,  are more related to unethical behavior than actions that are criminal in nature, well informed sources have told the Times.

While not discussing the specifics of the allegations in question, Times sources have asserted that the probe involving the Principal was triggered by a complaint by a female student who is no longer at school.

The complaint related to the Principal’s improper conduct with the female, the Times was told.

According to information, at the time of the alleged incident that resulted in the complaint, the complainant was seventeen years old.

The age of sexual consent in Saint Lucia is sixteen.

The Times understands that because of the age of the complainant, the police did not become involved.

It is illegal to identify the person against whom the allegations have been made.
