MOH Official Warns Of Continued COVID-19 Cases, Deaths In Saint Lucia

A senior official of Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs has warned that the presence here of the ‘more contagious and severe’ Delta Variant means that ‘COVID-19 cases as well as deaths will continue to soar.’

Acting National Epidemiologist, Dr. Michelle Francois, sounded the warning in a statement on Friday in which she stated that the Ministry continues to note ‘significant increases’ in reported COVID-19 cases.

She also highlighted the need for adherence to isolation and quarantine protocols and advised  business establishments against premature testing of workers for COVID-19.
