  1. Before you guys talk about hanging people … The system has to create the environment so people can prosper and live a good life with good jobs, health care and education and skills how can crime stop when over 80 percent of private sector workers earn 3 to 5 dollars an hour working for M&C home depot ,Baron foods, gas stations , hotels, security companies, lubeco windward and leeward brewery banks, insurance companies uptown liquor store essential hardware and massy supermarket it is the system that is responsible for the break down of the social fabric of the Nation enact a minimum wage so the workforce can go and work to provide for their families

  2. What a shame ..soon no one will want to visit St. Lucia. It appears that most St. Lucians are self destructive ..graduates of the University of Ignorance and Illiteracy…who btw believe that the government should feed them and their all over the place kids and provide them with a roof over their head ..they blame everyone and everything but themselves.

They will never be able survive in a normal society which is governed by rules and regulations….smh

  3. Be careful what you wish for. You or one of yours might be first on the list Arebthe government minds so lazy that they cant think of a solution to yjismproblem except hanging? I always new St Lucia had barbarians people with a thrist for blood and death!

  4. There is nothing strange about the use of knives, which have been the weapon of choice in the last few murder cases. This is what I think is happening. The knife is more available and cheap and as a result, more and more people are arming themselves with it. The times are getting tougher, and people are getting hungry and that is a source of anger.

  5. Don’t you realise something strange is happening in this country? There has been a decrease in gun killings suddenly the knives is now being used.

  6. These Guys Just very Ignorànt that’s the Bottom Line .Chopping or Stabbing your own Community Resident why

  7. @bolo, think about this for a second. Even if the Government resumes Hanging you say how many hangings do you think will occur.

There’s a simple way to work it out, here we go. Let’s say hyperthetically hangings resumed 10 years ago.

Count how many guilty convictions of let’s say murder cases in the last 10 years.

Conclusion, there would probably not be one hanging.

Why, because our judicial system is beyond broken.

Let’s not put the cart before the horse, all well and good hanging could be a deterrent but don’t think the criminals are clever enough to know that they probably hasn’t been a guilty verdict on a murder case for eons.

If its not a clear cut case you won’t get a conviction, even with clear cut cases example Customs lady murder led by her husband police officer, any conviction!?

I here by rest my case.

  8. This country have huge social issues.Government won’t protect you or solve your problems… I myself, I just hold my corner and stay by myself, I go on vacation to a different island enjoy the scenary and come back fresh and whole. #Lifeisgood
