Motorcyclist, Pillion Rider Injured In Collision

A motorcyclist and his pillion rider were both rushed to Victoria Hospital Saturday night after a collision with a a motor car, emergency officials have confirmed.

The officials disclosed that the motorcycle and the car were both travelling North bound when the collision occurred about 20 yards from the foot of the Mongiraud Hill.

They told St Lucia Times that both the motorcyclist and the pillion rider, who were not wearing helmets at the time of the incident about 10:54 p.m, sustained injuries that were not deemed to be life-threatening.

The accident resulted in a backup of traffic as an appliance from the Gros Islet fire service cleared away an oil spill on the road.
