Nine People Hospitalised After Multiple-Vehicle Collision

Emergency personnel from the Castries, Babonneau, and Gros Islet fire stations responded with three ambulances and two fire trucks to the scene of a multiple-vehicle collision at Choc, Castries, Friday morning and transported nine people to the hospital.

According to officials, one of the victims sustained severe injuries.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call about 7:40 am and said when they arrived, they found that four vehicles were involved in the collision – 2 motorcars and two SUVs.’

But they said they did not have details regarding how the accident occurred.

Both highway lanes were temporarily closed to traffic after the multiple-vehicle collision.
