The National Workers Union (NWU) wants the Labour Department to investigate a complaint about Royalton Hotel.

The union explained that it has reliable information.

And the NWU said workers at Royalton Hotel at Cap Estate, Gros Islet, are facing ‘anti-worker elements’ that do not fall in line with the current COVID-19 Protocols outlined by the Ministry of Health.

However, it did not go into details.

The NWU made the remarks in a letter to Labour Commissioner,  Cornelia Jn. Baptiste.

The January 14, 2021 letter noted that the issue is causing major concern.

And the NWU declared that because of the situation, tension is rife within the resort.

“We urge that you to  investigate this complaint,” it said.

The letter urged the Labour Commissioner to ensure that Royalton complies with the protocols the authorities have prescribed.
