The Owen King European Union (OKEU)  Hospital is reviewing the case of a death at the institution, amid complaints of negligence by the family of the deceased.

The television station said she died on Sunday.

She was rushed to the OKEUH after she complained of being unwell.

Her sister Dyana Murphy disclosed that after medical officials at the hospital screened Wilfred, she waited to see a Doctor.

But according to Murphy, her sister began complaining of excruciating pain.

Murphy said she had to beg medical officials to attend to the patient, to no avail.

According to her, the patient was eventually attended to but her condition had deteriorated.

Murphy said Wilfred eventually died.

“Why they didn’t help her? Why when I was there I had to beg so much? Sunday morning I was begging the people so much to help my sister and I am seeing that my sister was in so much pain,” she recalled.

The  Medical Director, Owen King EU Hospital – Dr. Alisha Eugene-Ford, issued the following recorded statement Wednesday.
