Police say shots were fired wounding a male individual who is a suspect in an attack on a home at Mon Repos, Micoud, on Saturday night.
A law enforcement official told St Lucia Times that the injured suspect, who is well known to the police, was transported to St Jude Hospital.
He is reported to have been shot when a police patrol went in hot pursuit of a vehicle believed to have been linked to the crime.
According to the officials, police also held two brothers for questioning as they investigate the attack on the home at Mon Repos that left the home owner in hospital.
It is reported that bandits broke into the man’s house, attacked him and tied him up when he came home on Saturday night.

Blood stains around the house bore testimony to the beating the victim received.

The intruders also robbed the man of valuables.
Law enforcement officials say they are on the hunt for others who may have been involved in the incident.
