Operation Expansion At Gros Piton Nature Trail

Press Release:-Soufriere, St. Lucia – Operations at the Gros Piton Nature Trail received a substantial boost with the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (SRDF) commissioning a new administrative office on Monday, March 6th, 2017.

Prior to its construction, the site’s Interpretation Center was dually utilized to serve both as an administration outlet and interactive hub acquainting visitors with the history of the Fond Gens Libre community and piton excursion.

“ We want to ensure that the experience at Gros Piton is all encompassing, it is important that the customer service element of the tour is properly facilitated and begins in a setting that is conducive, private and friendly,” said Mr. Jimmy Haynes, Executive Director of the SRDF.

According to Ms. Rosanna Wilfred, Supervisor of the nature trail, “The new office greatly enhances our ability to disseminate information to our visitors in a less distracting setting.”

She further added that the Interpretation Center is now fully enabled to meet its objective with the addition of a 50 inch smart television, more spacing to facilitate larger tour groups and passive aids.

The construction of the administrative office falls within the mandate set by the SRDF to ensure that operations at its visitor sites are done seamlessly and at the highest level of professional service.
