Partially Decomposed Body Identified As Missing Sasha Polius

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has identified a partially decomposed body found on July 23 at Lower Morne Road, Castries, as that of Sasha Polius.

Relatives reported that they last saw the 23-year-old on July 17 when she left to attend a barbecue.

They filed a missing person’s report with the police after she failed to return home and efforts to contact her were unsuccessful.

The Officer in Charge of the Major Crime Unit, Superintendent Luke De Freitas, told St Lucia Times that confirmation of the identity of the partially decomposed body came from the forensic laboratory here on Friday.

De Freitas said a postmortem examination was conducted and a homicide investigation started while the police awaited identification of the body.

“We are very advanced in this investigation,” the senior police officer disclosed.

Sasha Polius’ family has had their worst fears materialise, although they had indicated that they were losing hope while awaiting an identity confirmation.

Superintendent De Freitas said he sympathised with the grieving relatives.

But at the same time he explained that not everything that has to be confirmed could be done locally or immediately.

“Even if it is locally it’s not an immediate result,” he observed.

“We have to await due process and while we understand and sympathise with people in a similar situation, they need to understand as well that we need to give affirmative information – information that has been confirmed. We do not want to make errors. We do not want to say ‘yes’ at some point and we have to retract later,” De Freitas told St Lucia Times.

“So we are really asking people to understand that there is a process,” he stated.

And the Head of the Major Crime Unit asserted that the police have no control over that process.

“It is the forensic lab and even they cannot give us any timeline within which we can get any confirmation of results. So we want persons to bear with us and understand that we are acting in their best interest and not deliberately delaying any process,” De Freitas told St Lucia Times.

These are men and women who divided you,who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Sprit, which when tribulations, famine, anxiety, sorrow etc etc… which is to come upon the whole,as a result of not having the word of God rooted…

  6. Free will is granted to every man. If he desires to incline towards the good way and be righteous, he has the power to do so; and if he desires to incline towards the unrighteous way and be a wicked man, he also has the power to do so.
God is not a dictator he give us free will to choose to serve him. If folk want to follow satan they will reap the consequences of evil. It’s the cry of your own heart ❤️ which will save and help your soul. Amen

  7. Rest in peace beautiful Queen. What is going on in Saint Lucia? All that praying going on and nothing gets better…just sad news after sad news after sad news…we are witnessing the failure of a society right before our very eyes …and what is worse is, government does not have an answer…

    • The Prayers are working, crime is down, things are well, life is good.Maybe if we pray a little more we can get back to biblical days.I don’t need any weapon to protect me but prayers, just recently I was about to get robbed & started to pray & the would be robbers just put away their guns & ran away in the opposite direction.Prayers do work.

      • Then it appears your god is selective who he wants to help… Cause if prayer is working as u say…how is it that other people’s prayers are not being answered? Your particular situation can not be authenticated…you made an extraordinary claim about u being robbed…well that need extraordinary evidence to your claim….there could be a million circumstances those thieves left and did not Rob u….and how do we know u ain’t doctoring the story for your own personal gain?…. extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence….and you claiming crime is down is different from crime is no more….if god is so good to bring crime down why did god not stop crime entirely…. because your claim is prayer is working,..if prayer is working as u claim, then god should listen to your prayers and stop crime….stop the criminals…….not stop some crime…and let others happen…..if my explaining sounds ridiculous is because one needs to sound ridiculous to show even more , how ridiculous the concept of prayer working….think and reason ..

    • Sarcasm C-Wiz…That’s all it was brother,I was just being sarcastic.Just recently in another story with the young lad falling into the river I saw a comment “just pray in Jesus name he’ll be found safe” Now that he wasn’t found safe after the prayers I wonder what they’ve got say? “Prayers don’t work that way” would be the response, but if he was found safe they’d say “I knew the lord would help him be found safely”…There’s no way around how these ppl think, that’s all they know.

      • If prayers are not answered God is still the same God….Its time we stop treating @clockwork and c-wiz….God as us humans beings….God knew everything that would have happened…that doesnt stop the need for prayer…..In the end when all is over we will know exactly why things happened here on earth the way they did….The boy was told to go home with the groceries…..he didnt…..the bible predicted children will be disobedient to parents…even the innocent fall at the hands of death….It’s time we begin to understand that life is short and we need to keep our hearts in doing good….this world has turn to too much evil and corruption…..
