Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has expressed confidence that Saint Lucians will get through the current unprecedented times.
“Although, we have been through some difficult periods, one thing I do know, it will get better. Together, we can get through this,” the PM wrote Monday on his official Facebook page.
Pierre observed that recognising the blessing in these unprecedented times can be difficult for many of us.
“Whether it is due to our personal struggle or the news, life can be saddening or frustrating. But, there is always something that we can be thankful for; people that make life just a little bit easier, things that we enjoy,” the Prime Minister stated.
“Today, on this Thanksgiving Day, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of my beautiful island home Saint Lucia and, ultimately, place this country on a better, more sustainable path towards development,” the Castries East MP observed.
The Facebook post began with a quote from the bible: “I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1 (NIV)
And Pierre ended his post with the question: “What are you thankful for today?”
