Opposition leader, Philip J. Pierre, asserting that ‘we are stronger together’, has declared that Saint Lucians must move forward as a people and reclaim their country.
Pierre’s remarks were made in a post on Facebook.
“We are stronger together and likewise, we must move forward as a people to reclaim our country,” the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) leader stated.
The Facebook post Monday followed the SLP-organised national protest march and rally against the Allen Chastanet administration.
“Yesterday’s National Protest March signaled that Saint Lucians are outraged and feel betrayed, many others facing great trials, and longing for new leadership to help them rise above their struggle,” Pierre said.
“Your overwhelming presence gave light to the darkness of this United Workers Party and reassures that whenever the bell rings, we will not accept or make the mistake to support an inept, dictatorial, and out-of-touch Prime Minister. You chanted it loud and clear, and it was heard across the length and breadth of this nation, Chastanet must go!” The Castries East MP declared.
