Prime Minister, Philip J. Pierre, acknowledging that it was not a ‘typical Sunday’ due to measures that had to be put in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, has explained that “we need to save lives and livelihoods.”
“Although we are unable to fellowship at our usual place of worship, I encourage you, my brothers and sisters, to take some time for quiet reflection,” Pierre urged in a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday.
“Let us remain steadfast in our faith and to be encouraged by the words of David to his son Solomon. “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you…” Please, follow the operating protocols; remember to wear your mask, sanitize, social distance and get vaccinated,” Pierre stated, while urging citizens to stay safe.
