Castries South East MP, Guy Joseph, has challenged opposition leader Philip J. Pierre to play a recording Pierre says he has.

Pierre recently offered to play the recording.

At the time, he indicated that it was of Guy Joseph saying nasty things about Joachim Henry.

Henry is the labour candidate for the constituency Joseph currently represents.

But programme Host, Andre Paul, declined Pierre’s offer to play the recording.

Pierre later explained that what Guy Joseph said was too low and degrading for him to repeat.

But Joseph said this week that he is giving Pierre the opportunity to air whatever he has.

The ruling party MP declared that he does not use obscenities.

“If I said something, what is it I would say that you cannot play?” He asked.

“Now you see that lie by the labour party, I am going to call them out on it,” Joseph asserted.

And he disclosed that he was pursuing certain actions to deal with the matter.

“When I am through with them they will not be happy,” the MP warned.

“They have literally forced my hand into a particular direction that I would not otherwise have contemplated,” Joseph declared.

However, he did not go into details.

Joseph said the Saint Lucia Labour Party is famous for trying to divert attention from themselves.

“They victimise people – they come and tell you ‘You victimise people’, they’re corrupt, they came and tell you ‘You are corrupt’,'” he stated.

Joseph described himself as an open book.

“I want them to play whatever they have to play,” he said.

“Anything they have me on record, they can play,” Joseph disclosed.

However, he made it clear that if it is something that they ‘doctor’, he will know.

According to Joseph, as leader of the opposition Philip J. Pierre is supposed to be a responsible member of parliament.

Therefore, the Castries South East MP said he does not expect Pierre to lie to the people.

“So maybe he has something, but I know it’s not Guy.”

“So if he has something, he’d better release it while he can,” Joseph warned.
