Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has appealed to people who do not want to believe that COVID-19 exists, to observe the COVID-19 protocols.

“ We are  just appealing to them for the sake of the country, for the  sake of your family, your neighbours and the rest of us – please practise the protocols,” Chastanet said.

He reiterated that the battle against COVID-19 requires everyone to be on board.

“We need all of us to be all in,” Chastanet observed.

“It can’t be partial,” he said in an interview Tuesday with reporters.

“We have to accept that we cannot remain in lockdown – that’s not what the intention of my government is,” Chastanet said.

According to the PM, he would like to see students return to school.

He also explained that he would like to see as many businesses as possible open.

However, Chastanet indicated that there can be partial involvement  in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.

In addition, he expressed the view that the COVID-19 vaccine has given renewed hope.
