Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has expressed his condolences on the death of former civil servant, Victor Maurice.
Maurice was shot at his home in November last year.
Four days later he was taken to Martinique for medical treatment.
Family members said he died Tuesday morning about 5.00 am in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
I am extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Victor Maurice who served as the Chairman of the UWP Castries South constituency branch, was a loyal UWP supporter and a “well known vendor around the city of Castries,” Prime Minister Chastanet wrote Tuesday on his official Facebook page.
“I will miss his soft spoken yet wise advice and support,” the PM said.
“On behalf of the United Workers Party and the Cabinet of Ministers, I express my sincerest condolences to his family and friends. Rest In Peace Mr. Maurice, you will always be in our hearts,” Chastanet wrote.
