Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has congratulated the Grade 6 students who received their common entrance exam results on Monday.
“This is the beginning of a new chapter in your life. I wish you a smooth transition and all the best! Always remember, no matter what school you attend, at the end of the day it’s all about you and your commitment to doing your best,” he wrote Tuesday on his official Facebook page.
“Remember you can aspire to be anything you want to be, no matter where you come from or the secondary school you attend. Now is the time to start carving out your dreams and deciding on the amazing things you want to do and be in life,” the Prime Minister explained.
“I also want to acknowledge the fact that you guys wrote one of the most important exams of your life under extraordinary circumstances. Considering all the anxiety and uncertainty this pandemic has brought on, you did exceptionally well!”
The PM said he was especially proud of the achievement of fraternal twins Dominique and Ava George who came in 1st and 4th place on the island respectively.
“I can only imagine how proud your parents must feel, especially CMO Dr Belmar-George given the long hours she has had to put in over last last few months,” Chastanet wrote.
“Congratulations once again and a special thank you to all parents and teachers who too worked very hard at ensuring your children did their best when you too have been carrying an immense amount of emotional weight and uncertainty at this time,” he stated.
