Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has hinted that the recent national day of prayer and fasting could become a yearly event.

“I think that we have something that could potentially become an annual event,” he asserted.

“I think the Lord is certainly worth that,” the PM explained in a video on his official Facebook page.

In the video the PM offered ‘a big thank you’ to everyone who took part in the just ended day of prayer.

And he described it as an incredible day.

In this regard, Chastanet expressed the view that the event touched a lot of people.

He thanked the different churches and everyone who participated.

The PM also thanked the National Television Network for an ‘incredible job’ in sharing prayers and thoughts with the entire nation.

“Congratulations to Saint Lucia and all of you,” Chastanet declared.

Saint Lucia held a national day of prayer and fasting on May 24.

The event lasted from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm.
