Prime Minister Allen Chastanet  has told residents of Choiseul and Saint Lucians here and abroad, that now is the time to obtain a portion of land.

“Now is the time to get a piece of land and be part of the quickly emerging development and prestige of the south,” Chastanet observed on his official Facebook page.

The post Thursday followed the sod turning ceremony for the La Fargue Real Estate Development.

Events like these reinforce our government’s commitment to providing more access to land and our vision of developing the south,” the Prime Minister stated.

He observed that the La Fargue, Choiseul development joins the likes of Bois Jolie, Beauchamp and Choc and will offer 114 lots ranging in size from 4,193 to 26,000 square feet.

“The La Fargue Development in Choiseul is the latest addition to the Government of Saint Lucia’s Land and Housing stock for citizens and boasts of stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and the peak of Gros Piton,” Chastanet explained.

The La Fargue Development in Choiseul is Invest Saint Lucia’s  latest land project.

According to the agency, initially, infrastructural works were supposed to be completed in the first quarter of 2020, but when the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic continued to unravel, plans came to a halt.

On August 5, 2020, Invest Saint Lucia was able to announce the development’s resumption.

At the sod turning ceremony, Prime Minister Allen Chastanet congratulated the agency and Minister for Investment and Member of Parliament for Choiseul, Bradly Felix, for their commitment and dedication to ensuring that the land development project was launched despite the setbacks of COVID-19.
