PM, Opposition Leader Congratulate Kersandra Edwards

Prime Minister Allen Chastanet and opposition leader, Philip J. Pierre have both congratulated Saint Lucia’s Kersandra Edwards on winning the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen 2019 pageant.

The 2nd runner up was Miss USVI, while St. Maarten took the 1st runner up place.

“Some more fantastic news as we close off the year,” Prime Minister Chastanet declared on his official Facebook page in relation to the Kersandra Edwards win.


Chastanet recalled that earlier this year, Edwards also won the 2019 Queen of Gros Islet title.

“Well done Kersandra! You have given us even more to be proud of as we begin a new chapter,” the Saint Lucia PM wrote.

Opposition leader Philip J. Pierre posted a congratulatory message on the official Facebook page of the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP).

“I wish to offer congratulations to Kersandra Edwards who won Miss Caribbean Talented Teen pageant last night in St Kitts & Nevis. You did our country, St. Lucia proud!” Pierre stated.
