PM Says Provision Vendors Will Soon Be Back At Original Home

Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has lamented that for too many years, fruit and provision vendors have had to endure the blazing sun or the pouring rain whilst simply trying to earn an honest dollar.

“I am extremely happy that very soon they will be back to their original home as the first Phase of the Castries Market Redevelopment nears completion,” Chastanet wrote on his official Facebook page.

He asserted that he is just as eager to see the commencement of Phase 2 which will see major upgrades to the remaining facilities at the market.

The first phase includes a sheltered area for provisions market vendors, along with upgraded amenities and surface covering.

The other aspects of the Castries Market Redevelopment Project l include a state of the art food court, high-end air-conditioned restaurants, a craft market, a box park, a viewing tower, an entertainment area, meat and fish depots and duty-free shopping boutiques, and  other amenities.

  1. Dear Mr. PM

I hope you remmeber there are hundreds of people living in that area. As it right now, the loud music from the dances in the market make it impossible for people to sleep. I really hope that was factored in the design of the entertainment area. Even the Maayor has spoken on the issue already.

  2. Realist I think Guy Joseph already spoke about what they are going to do with ya’ll CDC dwellers. From what he said ya’ll are on Prime Property and YA’LL SHALL BE REMOVED and placed somewhere up MOUNT PLEASANT where NEW CDCS will be built for ya’ll. So in the mean time between time HUSH UP AND TAKE THE MUSIC because development can’t be HALTED for ya’ll just because YA’LL want to live in town for cheap and SOMETIMES DON’T PAY ANY RENT. Also some of Ya’ll have the city so UNSIGHTLY with the crap ya’ll doing in the balconies and hang out of the windows. BUSINESS WHICH MAKE MONIES AND PAY RENT WHICH IS HIGHER THAN WHAT YA’LL ARE PAYING SHOULD BE CLOSED OR PUT ON HOLD FOR YA’LL. NOW HUSH UR MOUTH AND WHINE WHEN YOU HEAR THE MUSIC OR BETTER YET DO WHAT I SAW A COUPLE DOING IN A BALCONY ONE NIGHT ON JEREMIE STREET TO THE MUSIC. JUST STAY AND SCREW TO IT.
