PM Seeks Support On Road To Better Tomorrow

Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has called on his countrymen to support his administration on the road to a better tomorrow.

Chastanet made the call in a post on his official Facebook page under the title – Continuing To Build A New Saint Lucia.

“Our country is re-establishing itself as a leader in so many positive ways,” he declared.

“With a capable team as well as the support and encouragement of the many hard working Saint Lucians, we have been able to keep Saint Lucia on a steady path towards progress as we seek to build a new Saint Lucia,” Chastanet wrote.

He observed that while numbers and figures are not the only way to measure success, his Government is pleased with the progress that  it has been making towards economic growth, reduction in unemployment, a reduction in the debt to GDP ratio and other indices that indicate that the administration is on the right path.

“I invite you to measure our success not only by the figures seen here, but by the impact our programs have been having on the lives of Saint Lucians in every community,” Chastanet said.

“My pledge is that we will continue to chart this course towards economic growth as we endeavour to create more opportunities for every citizen to live in a Saint Lucia that is safe, prosperous and harmonious as my Government embarks on programs which will redound to a better quality of life for Saint Lucians,” he declared.

  1. Election Mode is in whole swing I see. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. See you at the polls PM

  2. I am all about working towards a better tomorrow. In this regard, I prefer to concentrate on the youth and efforts being made to save those falling through the cracks…. can anyone speak about that? ….. what about the rise in the number of youth involved in criminal activities? … What’s being done to address that? …. isn’t the future of a nation very dependant on the level of productivity of its youth?

    • How much more of the resources of the country should be spent on those falling through the cracks? How many more programmes should be created for them? And I am talking about those that WILLINGLY violate laws and tread down a path they know is wrong. Why are schools in existence but to help all WILLING to do what is necessary. How about we take a hard line on those who allows themselves to fall through the cracks. Follow the rules OR ELSE.

  3. The local man on the street is not feeling the 6.4% growth. Where is it? Is it in the pockets of Guy and Fresh start? PM be genuine, is St Lucia doing well in anything at all? Yes Guy is doing very well, you don’t realize uwp will lost the next election because of Guy. Check you will be surprise.

  4. But pls say something or give an update about St. Jude’s hospital. Is this not import on St. Lucia’s road for a better tomorrow??

    • A better tomorrow for your friends, family and foreigners… It could be a party of cats and dogs, they will get my vote ❎ before i give to you and your bunch of thieves.

  5. Mr. Chastanet, are you the pm of saint Lucia, or the Saint Lucian joker? Stop your talking and do the job; only 2 more years before the judgement day!

  6. Mr Chastanet I’m just letting you know that I have never voted because I think all of you politicians are equally worthless. However, the people of Central Castries (myself included) look forward to making sure Sarah Flood never wins this seat. Don’t send up Peterson either because he is just as loathed. Rest assured we will make out votes count. Tick tock!
