Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has assured residents of Blanchard, Micoud, that his administration has a lot more in store for the community, as he highlighted several issues that have already been addressed there.

“We have delivered on your main requests but rest assured we have a lot more in store for you,” Chastanet wrote on his official Facebook page.

He recalled that back in 2016, the residents of Blanchard had to deal with an inconsistent and unreliable water supply.

“We took this seriously and have since addressed their water issues. Their main community road was in a deplorable condition. Today, the drive through the community of Blanchard is one of the most comfortable that you can experience,” Chastanet observed.

“The Blanchard Community Centre had been abandoned, limiting their ability to host community functions and meetings. As I prepare this post, work on the rehabilitation and expansion of the Blanchard Community Centre continues to progress,” the PM stated.

Chastanet also noted that other numerous community projects have been implemented  in the areas of flood mitigation, community access improvements via the construction of footpaths and concrete roads as well as disaster vulnerability reduction initiatives through the construction of retaining walls.
