Police are investigating a stabbing incident on Jn Baptiste Street, Castries, Friday morning after 8 O’ clock.
Emergency personnel from Fire Service Headquarters in Castries responded after receiving a call in relation to the incident and say they found one male lying on his side on the pavement.
“A rapid assessment revealed that the patient was unresponsive with a penetrating wound to the side of his face,” Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Communications Officer, Stacy Joseph, told St Lucia Times.
Joseph said the emergency responders treated the wound and transported the victim in stable condition to the OKEU Hospital for further medical attention.
There are no further details at this time.
