A lone gunman fired multiple times at her on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Gros Islet bus stand in Castries, before fleeing.

The shooting took place in full view of early morning commuters.

And in announcing that they had made an arrest in case, police noted that it was one of their successes in three recent homicides.

Investigators have charged three men in connection with the fatal shooting last month of Zenadin ‘Royston’ Felicien, at Trois Piton, Castries – an incident in which two other men sustained gunshot wounds.

In addition, officers say they have arrested a suspect for the January 27, 2021 homicide on Chisel Street, Castries.

Police Commissioner, Milton Desir, expressed thanks to all who assisted the police with information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

“Special thanks to the police officers who had sleepless nights pursuing the suspects in the various cases,” he stated.

Desir also announced that a thorough investigation has begun into a fatal police shooting at Gadette, Dennery on Friday.

And he disclosed that the police will be liaising with the DPP’s office folr guidance on the case.

He appealed to people who may have information relating to crime to contact a police officer they trust to pass on the information.

“We would prefer persons with information to give it to the police rather than posting information on social media,” Desir said.
