Police arrested and charged Medley Prospere, alias ‘Pork Stew’ and a female below the age of 18 after they recovered a firearm and ammunition in Dennery.
Officers say they were executing a search warrant on Tuesday in Over the Bridge, Dennery, when they found the .380 Ruger Pistol and seven rounds of ammunition.
Both Prospere and the young female were charged with Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition.
According to a police press statement, Prospere pleaded guilty.
As a result, the First District Court on Wednesday imposed a $8,000 fine for possession of the firearm and $5,000 for possession of ammunition.
But police referred the matter involving the female to the Department of Probation Services for further intervention.
Officers conducted a second police operation in Pomme, Augier, on Wednesday, April
14, 2021.
They reported that they executed executed a search on the premises of a 37 year old resident.
As a result, the investigators recovered a 9mm Taurus pistol with eleven rounds of ammunition in its magazine.
The officers arrested a male who remains in their custody pending charges.
