Relatives Not Ruling Out Foul Play In Discovery Of Body At Monchy

Relatives of Julian Alfred, whose body was discovered at Monchy, Gros Islet, have not ruled out foul play in his death.

“We don’t know. It’s when the post mortem is done – then we will know,” Quinton Laporte, a nephew of the dead man told St Lucia Times.

Laporte said he last saw the deceased on Sunday night.

“He had drank a little – he was a little intoxicated and I heard he just went at the back to see somebody and like, when he was coming back – we didn’t see him the night.”

According to Laporte, early on Monday morning a cousin reported seeing Alfred lying dead in a puddle of water at the side of the road.

He described his deceased uncle as having been a very helpful individual.

Police are investigating the death.

  1. St Lucia is such a beautiful place why so many of the natives are being murdered. What is the reason. For God Almighty’s sake stop the killings.
