Relatives of a Marigot man who was gunned down Saturday afternoon in his community have expressed shock at his death and are calling for justice to be served in his broad daylight slaying.
Law enforcement officials have identified the deceased as Devon Emmanuel, originally of Vieux Fort.
He was 34 years old, a family member disclosed.
He died at the scene in China Town, Marigot.
“I want justice for my brother – big justice. He didn’t do anything. He does not hurt anybody. Why would somebody do this to my brother?” A sister of the deceased told St Lucia Times.
She said she was surprised to hear of her brother’s death.
The sister asserted that everyone knows that the deceased was not a troublesome individual.
“Everybody’s wondering: ‘Why is Devon?” She explained.
Police are yet to disclose a possible motive for the latest fatal shooting.
