Residents of several communities in Castries have reported that a ‘rifle toting’ man has been terrorising households in recent days.

Neighbours say that on Friday, about 10:45 am, the man invaded a home, held up a Carilee family, and made off with cash and valuables.

They reported hearing members of the family screaming and pleading: ‘Don’t shoot.’

No one was injured, but the family was severely traumatised.

The man entered another home in the same Carilee community but fled when a child started screaming, residents say.

People have also said they spotted him in the North of the Island and at Union about 5:00 am Saturday.

Concerned residents have flooded social media with CCTV footage and photographs of the man they identified as the individual with the ‘long rifle’, as well as messages warning others to be on their guard.

Police are investigating.
