Saint Lucia Association of Retired Persons undertake ICT training

The members of the Saint Lucia Association of Retired person embarked on an ICT (Information and Communication Technology) training programme. The objective of this programme is to ensure that members enjoy the benefits of being able to use the internet and other basic digital equipment, computers, laptops, ATM’s and mobile (Smart) phones.

The first leg of the programme which will run from March 27, 2017 to May 04, 2017 is being delivered by the National ICT Center in Castries.

The second cohort will commence subsequently in Vieux Fort.

The members from Laborie and Choiseul were not let out as their training is being undertaken as a community activity and held at the Combined School. This initiative has attracted a number of seniors in the community who are not registered members of the Association.

The Association is enthusiastic about the training as it will allow our members to take their place in the every changing technological world.
