Prince Philip has visited Saint Lucia on a number of occasions, most notably in 1966, Prince Philip accompanied his wife Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on a tour of the Caribbean which brought them to Saint Lucia.

In 1985, Prince Philip again visited Saint Lucia and attended the official dedication ceremony of the Leon Hess Secondary School.

Saint Lucians have also benefitted from the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme which became one of The Duke’s most remarkable achievements as it empowered young people from all communities to build the skills, confidence, and resilience.

May HRH Prince Philip rest in peace.
