Saint Lucia Labour Party Urges Support For The Bahamas

The Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP)  has expressed its deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Bahamas on the recent loss of life resulting from the passage of Hurricane Dorian.

“Our prayers are with you during this trying time,” SLP leader, Philip J. Pierre wrote on his party’s official Facebook page.

Pierre, who is also leader of the parliamentary opposition, noted that the Government of Saint Lucia has set up bank accounts where monetary donations to assist in the rebuilding effort can be made.

“The Saint Lucia Labour Party pledges its support to that effort and encourages all Saint Lucians to support this worthy cause,” the Castries East MP stated.

  1. Absolutely not. let the rich countries help them . We can barely help our selves. We are not the cause of climate change. The big polluting countries are. Wake up people, this is not a cause for us to take on. We are a small poor country with our own issues.we must demand climate reparations from the big countries that are polluting the world.

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more.
I am so damn tired of bearing other people’s burden, give them to Jesus.
He is the greatest burden bearer.
