Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs has announced that the country is managing six suspected Monkeypox cases.

The announcement came Thursday in a statement from Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Glensford Joseph.

Joseph disclosed that four cases have no travel history out of Saint Lucia.

And he explained that contact tracing is underway.

  1. Hiding information from the public.
All those cases were confirmed before carnival . Don’t listen to a word they have to say. And contact tracing already in progress before the news was publicized. Tan toe tan toe

  2. We know full well these cases were discovered before this carnival, but didn’t want to let us know because He-Lier had to make his money, plus they don’t care about us, the same disastrous Covid management by this SLP where hundreds died, will be in full display with this monkey pox. This entire cabal need to go, for heaven’s sake, we have you all a chance but clearly you all are not fit to govern.

    • I figure st.lucians don’t know what they want. They had a good former PM who was taking all the necessary health precautions as an empathetic leader should do, but you know what many lucians were saying? He doesn’t want us to eat and drink our chicken and rum and shake our cinnabuns. Now Monkey 🐵 pox has come while y’all were shaking yall bum bums. The monkey games and the coco makak games ain’t over until the fat lady sings. Now 6 infected with that crap on the island when my entire family from the States was planning to visit in 2 years because of Covid!!!! SMH!!!. If there were any significance with the number 6, then what THEY have planned for the Caribbean and the rest of the world will be THREE SCORE the number 6! This 6 number they’re flashing in yall face aint NO COINCIDENCE and their message is hidden in plain sight! KEEP PARTYING ST. LUCIA! A storm with a ton of bricks is about to fall HEAVILY on this world! It’s ALL being planned as we speak, starting from this whole plan-demic to this RUSH-ON coco makak questionable war SMH!

  3. What else we expected. People where rubbing their naked selves on each other for 2 days in what the authorities deemed a successful carnival. Stories just start

    • the people were infected this monkey pox disease way before the carnival season the sad thing is that they went around the public spreading it im certainly sure we got more more than six cases

  4. i will say it again n again….masks to go supermarkets that have social distancing stores everywhere but carnival was the life of the party….this country is a joke…….u think this guavament you voted for give a rats behind??? lucians watch your bread and stop giving into being lab rats

    • It is the same all over the world. Too many people too stupid to see those policies ass backwards. From the doctors up.

  5. but lucians busy rubbing tires and showin all the vaginas for the cameras…..with all the vyce party included…..well planned…..no time to cry many had all the fun without thinking of the coming days like this……wen will we men and women of st lucia learn??? stop this baccanaling..the govt dont care about none of us…i just hope with all the buying books and increases in everything the children wont be affected at school…this is just like a movie with our govt watchin the show and enjoying it…..act on lucians, act on!!!!

  7. Smph see what bulla-inŃ all these tourists does, smph woi now the Pox is gonna be everywhere thanks to no protection at carnival,
yet we can’t go into hardware stores without a PHoCking mask on! Smph

  8. Chicken Pox and Covid might be spreading but Hilaire is very happy he had carnival and red international made money.

    • Tell us Glasford when did the Ministry of Health got that confirmation? My sources tell me that it arrived on Friday, but carnival had to go on. OUTSIDE. We will hear about the results in the coming weeks. I only hope that school will not be affected once again.

  9. Why did this foolish SLP government ever allow this covid and monkeypox super-spreader event (called carnival) in the first place???

    • St lucia managing six monkey pox cases? So many information missing. When did they show up with symptoms? What date they were tested? Male or female? Before or after carnival. Locals or foreigners?

  10. Now tell us the sexual orientation of these people. That is really important data. You know kinda like when HIV was emerging…
