Press Release:- The Saint Lucia Mission of Seventh Day Adventists – (SDA), will convenes its fifth Quadrennial Mission Session November 21 – 23, 2018, at the L’Abayee SDA Church under the theme, ‘United in Spirit – Fulfilling God’s Purpose”. The opening ceremony will commence at 3:00 pm, Wednesday November 21, and the daily business sessions will run from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm.
Mission Session is a time for fellowship, inspiration and thanksgiving where the church meets to examine its operations over the past four year, select Directors, receive reports from Administrators and Directors and entertain questions and recommendations from delegates representing the fifty (52) churches on the island.
Each church is allowed one delegate for every 300 members, which means that most of the churches will be represented by two delegates, while the larger ones will be represented by three. The new Mission executive, who will transact the business of the church for the next four years, will also be constituted from the offices voted and floor members recommended by the delegates at the Session.
The operations of the Saint Lucia Mission of SDA are supervised by the Caribbean Union of Seventh-day Adventists, who selects the local Administrators during Union Session held every five years.
